Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

My heart goes out to each of you in deep sorrow for the loss of such a dear young man in your lives and hearts. He will certainly be missed, but I do pray that God fills your thoughts with the many wonderful memories you shared with Matthew -- and that those great times will comfort and bring smiles of joy each day, one day at a time.

What a comfort to know that this life is just a pathway leading to Eternity, where we'll meet those we love again!

In Christian Love and Prayers, Cindy Lipscomb IT

I'm sorry to say I didn't actually know Matt... My husband and I were in the car traveling directly behind him and saw the accident. I ran to the vehicle to call to him while my husband dialed 911. We were soon joined by many people, all of us trying to help. I hope all his loved ones can take some solace in knowing he wasn't alone and was surrounded by very caring people. We share in your grief at this difficult time. And though we were strangers, my husband and I will never forget Matt. Our thoughts are with all of you.

I could say that I feel or know your pain with the loss of Matt, & yes he did become part of my extended family through the LU track & field organization but he was not my son. At first I was distraught with the realization that another one of my close friends & family had passed away, but while asking God for answers I was overwhelmed with jealousy, "he's lucky," I thought, "he gets to see what I can only dream of, Heaven."

Bear in mind you'll be reunited soon. He'll greet you with loving arms & spend eternity with you.

With love and with much respect, Randall Singleton

Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. What little time I was around Matthew in the weightroom at Lipscomb and all the things I heard people say about Matthew were nothing but goods things. You were very blessed to be around him for many more years than I was able. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
